La Base currently offers loans to cooperatives and democratically run businesses
in Argentina (Buenos Aires and surrounding area) and Nicaragua.
Our average loan is around AR$15,000 (US$4,000), with first-time loans ranging from AR$500 to AR$30,000.
Loans are awarded only to cooperative groups with productive projects that have first been
carefully revised and then approved by our staff in assembly.
