Project with La Argentina Cash line so the cooperative can count on sufficient liquidity to continue working well while fulfilling the large contract to provide the Hospital Posadas with 30,000 kilos of bread over four months. This contract implies a 100% increase in production, for which they will need a capital injection to cover common expenses. The checks to be changed are from clients with long-pending debts and are post-dated. | |
The cooperative "La Argentina" finds itself in a moment of great possibility for growth, which will nonetheless necessitate additional access to capital injections. They are simultaneously soliciting an investment loan to purchase raw materials in order to meet the sharp increase in production needed to comply with the contract they were awarded by the Hospital Posadas. They are also trying to settle some old debts owed them by clients to ensure they have the maximum | funds at their disposal for this important period. One of these clients has paid them with two checks post-dated at more than two months. For this, they need a cash line to convert this debt reduction to immediate cash liquidity. This is the first cash line opened to the cooperative; previously they tended to receive smaller checks that were immediately depositable. We have discussed the need to begin charging interest on clients that pay with post-dated checks. |
