With the purchase of significant amounts of production materials, they would be able to work without losing days in addtition to being able to obtain a discount on the purchase. | |
Desde el Pie is a cooperative located in Laferrere, that produces locally with the help of La Base. Besides their location the have machinery and sigificant production potential, but today they are idle a great deal of the time. They produce security shoes and also resell work clothes.
There are currently 14 working associates, and in the last trimester brought | in 3 more workers, including a sixty year old with experience in shoemaking. They withdraw between $900 and $1200 monthly, and in hte most recient period they are increasing the withdrawals.
The risks are that there are major difficulties with suppliers, that their vehicles increase in costs, and that the cost of leather continues to increase.
