Crometal is a recovered cooperative engaged in production of industrial shelving and scaffolding. Since we started working with them their production has increased sharply, the number of workers has doubled and their competitiveness has improved as well. When our relationship began there were 18 workers. Currently there are 35, 21 are partners and 11 are about to be.
With the 10 loans the cooperative and La Base have formed a close relationship with a lot of trust. | Crometal has grown enormously and the type of challenges they have been facing has changed according to the scale. In addition to financial bottlenecks that are usually reasons for help from La Base, other needs associated with infrastructure are emerging. This is the case with the internal movement of materials that now depends on a single forklift which is no longer reliable. Therefor La Base will help the cooperative to buy a forklift from second hand. |
