The cooperative La Toma recycles pieces from defunct information technology equipment (old computers, printers, etc.). To their advantage, La Toma has a large amount of warehouse space and a qualification to emit documents certifying appropriate disposal of electronic residuals, something that is much sought after by large companies looking to make technological upgrades. Up until now, their lack of a vehicle has placed them at a disadvantage, as they are sometimes unable to pick up donations and on other occasions have to rent | truck to take away the machinery. They have been dreaming about purchasing a truck for quite some time now, and for the last two months have been trying to figure out how to purchase this particular Ford 100, which they have already had checked out by two reliable mechanics. After much consideration they decided to come to us with a loan proposal. The amount saved in rentals plus the increase in revenue generated by the increased workload has been calculated as sufficient to pay off the loan within the proposed time period. |
