The loan is to make structural repairs in the bakery's building. The continuity of the coop is under threat from municipal inspectors who are pressuring for these repairs or else they shut down the factory. The premises are very old, and many maintenance tasks were delayed after the recovery of the factory until the new coop was better off. Since at the beginning of 2006 | they won a contract from the city government to provide schools with lunch meals, they now have the regular income to face these pending repair tasks.
The repairs include the scraping and repainting of two ceilings, the changing of broken tiles in production areas, the installment of 2 new bathrooms and the sealing off of the terrace, which leaks during rains. |
