When we first went to Argentina to experiment with our model of non-extractive finance, we found tremendous success. In Nicaragua, we found that the same techniques that worked in Argentina to build jobs and support community businesses were able to create lasting wealth in an entirely different setting. Nine years later, we have lent out our fund over ten times with more than a 98% success rate, even without ever tying debt to our investments. This year, we opened our doors in the United States to bring our expanded model to scale.
