Conservas Carcamo pays off its second TWW loan

March 22, 2013

Today, one of The Working World’s most promising small business partners in Nicaragua paid off its second loan.  The worker-owned Conservas Carcamo, which produces jellies, marmalades, and other fruit products, now has its own new packaging that has helped boost sales like never before.  In recent months, sales have increased more than 60%, and the company is using its new profits to make promotional materials and advertise on local television stations.  In the coming months, the worker-owners hope to use their priority status with The Working World to invest in another set of packaging that will allow them to sell in local schools.  Well done, Conservas Carcamo!
