The cooperative SG has just completed two loans with La Base. With both of these previous loans, the central objective -- that of permitting the cooperative access to credit in able to buy from larger factories -- was accomplished. This is turn permits the cooperative to buy at a better price, as they are not reliant on intermediaries. Until they started working with La Base they were not able to put together sufficient capital to make the larger purchases that factories require. In this particular | case, the third loan is a bit larger, with the idea being to make two simultaneous purchases from different factories, called RH and Rolanplast (which is the largest producer in the field). Hopefully, these discounts will continue to allow the cooperative to increase its profit margin. The loan quota dates were prolonged to allow the cooperative to repeat these purchases several time over the course of the loan. This also serves the purpose of establishing a relationship with the factory. |
